My Return…

Hi there! Well, I’m no stranger to the blogging world… I’ve had many blogs, stopping them and restarting them, at different times in my life and in various web locations. Sometimes it’s a new venture that inspires me to get going again, and then often I feel that a new space is required to go with that new direction too.

However, here I am, with more than a new venture to write about–rather, it’s a new stage in my life. I’m moving up (in my eyes)!

I’m going to have a baby. And I’m immensely excited – as is my husband too, of course. I’m already 6 and a half months along–I’m due on March 26 next year. (Hehe, that kind of sounds like I only found out recently that I was pregnant, but I’ve known from the 3 week and 6 day mark.) Yesterday was the first day of my last trimester. So, I’m on the home straight now…

Aside from a growing baby in my tummy, I do have other things that I plan to blog about. Here’s the thing: I needed an all-in-one spot where I could talk about myself, my lifestyle, my interests and my work life. On previous blogs, I’ve kept these separate from each other. I’d never mixed them up — until now…

If you haven’t been following me around online, you may not know that my working career has been in IT, and that I have a part-time photography business. I have also been a casual writer for some years. By “casual” I mean that I don’t have any impressive publishing credits to show off. I should try submitting some stuff.

I will finally break from my IT day job in about a month’s time to officially prepare for motherhood. Hopefully, depending on what the future holds, I might not have to go back to that type of work.

You can see some of my photography on my professional website here, but note that I have not updated it in a while. I had also started a writing portfolio here, but there is only a small selection so far. Updating the content on both sites is on my agenda–but as you may understand, my thoughts these days are with getting the house baby-ready, buying baby products and setting up the nursery!

When I do have any left-over time, I spend it on other projects. In May this year, I found myself setting up a community forum over here. If you like what you see, you should join and say HI!

So, there you go. I’m definitely back with major plans to share more about me, my growing family, my home, my life, and my art. Stick around, eh?
